Mechanical Strength Considered in Hot Runner Manifold

It is a fundamental requirement that hot runner manifold should have sufficient mechanical strength to bear the pressure from melt plastic in the runner. So thickness of hot runner manifold should be managed properly. If the manifold is too thin, then the mechanical strength will be weakened. If the manifold is too thick, then the volume and weight of manifold will increase, which will lower the heating speed, wasting electricity. Meanwhile, it will increase the height of the mould. Generally, the thickness of manifold is between 30 mm to 50 mm, in H13 Steel.
